The Ohio Historical Society operates in the public trust. Because of this, we welcome and encourage scrutiny of our activities. As historians, we also recognize that events in time can be subject to many points of view and interpretations, and how the information is put together can also affect interpretations about the historical record.
We work very carefully in our programs to lay out facts related to historical events and issues as objectively as possible, so people can engage in the work of history and reach their own conclusions. This is part of our public trust responsibility.
We hope this section of the website provides you with additional information that may provide more context on issues related to The Ohio Historical Society.
