Ohio Historical Society Volunteer Recognized

The Ohio Historical Society congratulates James H. Edge, one of fifteen honorable mentions for Medical Mutual of Ohio’s Outstanding Senior Volunteer Award. They recognize seniors, 65 years and older, who are actively engaged in volunteer activities. The awards salute those volunteers who act in a selfless, caring manner, and are committed to enhancing the quality of lives of those around them.

Working with Manuscripts Curator John Haas, Jim has processed collections of land records, Civil War muster rolls, and manuscripts. These are now available for library visitors to research and use. Prior to joining the Ohio Historical Society, Jim was a research chemist at Nationwide Childrens Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. An avid genealogist, Jim is the author of six books, each of which details a family line.
