2020 State Historic Preservation Office Awards

2020 State Historic Preservation Office Awards

Do you know of a great rehabilitation project? A special person or group who should be recognized for a significant preservation effort? An effective program, event or campaign that increased awareness of historic preservation?

Each year, the Ohio History Connection’s State Historic Preservation Office recognizes achievements in historic preservation by presenting awards in two categories:

Public Education and Awareness and Preservation Merit. People, organizations, businesses and public agencies are eligible for the awards.

Even if you are working from home right now, you are invited to submit a nomination for the awards. Nominations must be submitted by June 1. A selection committee comprising members of the governor-appointed Ohio Historic Site Preservation Advisory Board and State Historic Preservation Office staff will choose recipients in each category. Awards will be presented at the State Historic Preservation Office Awards luncheon in the fall.

Your award nomination must be submitted electronically. Click here to download the Awards nomination form. Contact our office at [email protected] if you have any questions.
