SHPO Copy & Scan Request

Ohio’s State Historic Preservation Office conducts project reviews required under federal and state preservation laws and facilitates access to research materials and historic property records created through these regulatory processes. These services support agencies, consultants, and others involved in preservation planning and compliance.

Important: To successfully fulfill your order, it is essential that you provide accurate information about the specific records you are requesting. Please review the record descriptions carefully before submitting your request. We are happy to help ensure you request the correct materials.

Note: In addition to ordering National Register nominations from us, many nominations are available for free download through the National Park Service. Visit the National Register Searchable Database for information and links to available online records.

Processing Fees: Historic Tax Credit Application and Section 106 Project requests include a $10 processing fee per project in addition to any applicable per-page copying fees.

Important: A NADB # or PSA # is required for all Archaeological Survey Report and Historic Architecture Survey Report requests. NADB and PSA numbers can be obtained from Ohio's Online Mapping System (OMS). If you do not have access to the Online Mapping System (OMS) or need assistance locating a NADB or PSA number, please contact Ohio's State Historic Preservation Office at [email protected] or call 614.298.2000 prior to submitting your request.

When ordering 10 or more documents from our office, we ask that you provide your request in an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet. This helps us process your order more efficiently. Please provide one row for each requested document and include the following information, as applicable:

  4. NRHP Reference #, OAI #, OHI #, NADB #, PSA #, or OHPOID #
  5. Project Name (if applicable)
