Join us for the opening reception of a new exhibit exploring the remarkable earthworks of the Ohio Valley. Created by Native American cultures, including the Adena, Hopewell, and Fort Ancient between 800 BCE and 1750 CE, these monumental landscapes shaped the region for spiritual, scientific, and cultural purposes.
Using cutting-edge LiDAR mapping, aerial imagery, archival materials, and contemporary photography, the exhibit highlights twenty earthwork sites and how they have changed over time. Interactive displays invite visitors to explore these places through touch while learning about their continuing cultural significance and the challenges they face today.
Guests are also invited to stay for a special lecture at 7:00 PM from the creators of the exhibit (separate ticket required).
