Fort Meigs is the burial ground for hundreds of War of 1812 casualties. Ceremonies here visit each of the monuments on the fort grounds to pay tribute to the fallen. Speeches, music, flag raising and historic military demonstrations dot the occasion as the city parade culminates at the reconstructed 19th century military post.
