Hop on board as we trace the remnants of the once 4.5 square mile complex of the Newark Earthworks and take some trips off the beaten path slipping back and forth between the deep past and more modern history of Licking County! Notable stops along the route will include the Great Circle, the Octagon Earthworks, Newark’s Courthouse Square and Flint Ridge Ancient Quarries and Nature Preserve.
Bottled water and small snacks will be provided. Please pack a lunch; we will make a stop midway through the day to eat together.
Admission includes transportation and brief tours of the Great Circle and Octagon of the Newark Earthworks and Flint Ridge. A guide will be present throughout the day to narrate the significance of the locations as we travel through the county!
Tickets will be available in May.
