Join Senior World Heritage Archaeologist Brad Lepper at the Great Circle of Newark Earthworks on the first Friday of every month for a guided tour! Over the course of an hour, he will lead you to features that define the Great Circle and explain how this amazing site is worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status. Learn about the unique history of the site that links together Indigenous peoples from all over North America, Licking County residents, presidents, generals, archaeologists, and the importance of peoples coming together to achieve a common goal.
Tours will be conducted at 11 a.m. To join the group, meet at the bronze map on the patio of the Great Circle Museum.
First Friday tours will be conducted rain or shine between the months of March-November.
While the tour is FREE of cost, donations are encouraged to support education and public programs at the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks!
