Stop by to see the Ohio History Center during the State Fair! The museum will be open daily from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. This year again, the Ohio History Center main entrance will be a full Ohio State Fair entry point, including State Fair ticket sales and security screening.
When you visit, be sure to stop by and get a first look at the Ohio Village renovations! Our first phase has included essential utility work (gas/electricity/water) and visitor accessibility for walking paths and buildings.
Changes include:
* A reimagined town center (for performances and more) with a central bandstand
* New experiences for visitors and expanded food and beverage offerings.
* A stronger physical connection between the Ohio History Center and Ohio Village
* Options for ADA-compliant walkways, lights, connectivity and hardscape streets to improve accessibility.
* A new Bier Garten next to the hotel with seating, a stage and new, modern restrooms.
* A 1920s pharmacy with a soda fountain.
* A family farmhouse showcasing early 1900s life.
* A gallery space for contemporary art displays.
* and A LOT more trees!
Not all these new features will be seen or accessible during the Ohio State Fair as we work to establish electricity and utility services in the Village, but they should be fully available by our 2027 reopening.
The Ohio History Center will be open for members for free as always. Additionally, Ohio History Connection members of any membership level can enjoy two FREE admission tickets for the Ohio State Fair.
