Field Trips

Explore Ohio’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site! Students will tour the Octagon Earthworks, investigate the exotic materials brought here by ancient peoples and build their own earthwork. After lunch, the program continues with a guided visit to the monumental Great Circle Earthwork.

Our programs explore Ohio’s Native American earthworks and the everyday lives of the people who built and used them. Each experience is hands-on and interactive, rooted in Indigenous history and culture and designed to meet Ohio Learning Standards.
