Getting Ready for July 1st

Lots of exciting things are happening at the Ohio History Center in preparation for our huge exhibit opening July 1st. (Stay tuned for more details!) Over 700 objects will be going on display, which means lots of cleaning, dusting, and general prep work. Staff and our fearless interns have been busy for the last several weeks. Here are some sneak-peaks at some of the objects they are working on:

Interns clean and prep even the smallest of objects.
Textiles are a special challenge and have to be very delicately cleaned.
Some objects, like this old rocket car from a swing-like amusement park ride, take two people to clean but require the same level of detail.

Watch the OHS facebook page for announcements about the new exhibit!
