Fly a plane across the fields like the Korn brothers, touch an actual mammoth bone, and learn about iconic people from Shelby County History. The building where the museum is located has some history, too. If you think it looks like a Mid-Century Modern downtown storefront, you’re right. The Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center opened its doors in 2023, but the building was most notably known as Lochard’s Appliances Showroom in the early 1950s. They sold many different appliances, including General Electric refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
