Visit Vinton County’s only house museum during this special open house and explore a historic place that preserves the stories of the community and its people.
Guests are invited to tour the museum and learn about its role in sharing the history and heritage of Vinton County in southeastern Ohio. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits and resources that highlight local families, notable individuals such as Maude Collins, the first woman elected sheriff in Ohio, and important historic sites throughout the county.
The museum also houses genealogy materials and family histories that help connect past and present, offering a deeper understanding of the people who shaped the region. Volunteers from the Vinton County Historical and Genealogical Society will be on hand to share insights and answer questions.
All are welcome.
