The Westerville Public Library is part of vibrant historic Uptown Westerville and reflects three distinct eras brought together in one site:

  • the 1850s home of Agnes Meyer Driscoll (WWII’s famous codebreaker, “Madam X”), later serving as headquarters of the Anti-Saloon League of America beginning in 1910
  • a 1955 library building constructed at this location
  • later additions and renovations that shaped the modern library

Ohio Open Doors participants will tour the library’s public spaces and see unique and often-unnoticed details of the building. The tour will include the significant history of our community’s library, which began long before it was on today’s site. They will also tour behind-the-scenes areas, including the Westerville History Museum’s collections storage space.

Tours will begin at 6:05 and 7:05 PM and will meet in the atrium.
