Make Wellston Beautiful, in collaboration with the Morgan Family and the Wellston OHillCo Society, is pleased to present a special tour of the Haslett Mansion and Carriage House. This recently restored manor, adjacent to the Jackson County Fairgrounds, has generations of rich history in Wellston, Jackson County, and Southeastern Ohio. The Haslett Mansion and Carriage House were built by Charles Haslett and his wife, Mary Ann Haslett. The home was started in 1908, and finished in 1909 at a cost of $8,000, today’s value approximately $3 million. This included the home, the underground dairy tunnel, and the carriage house, which still stand today. The home and carriage house were recently brought back to life through the painstaking efforts of the Morgans, who are excited to showcase this home in celebration of America 250 and the OHillCo Festival during Ohio Open Doors.
