Please join the Miamisburg Historical Society’s Family Scavenger Hunt at the Miamisburg History Center on Saturday, September 19, 2026 to learn more about the history of our city. Participants will be given a written Scavenger Hunt with clues to the many different artifacts we have on display. While exploring these artifacts, participants will learn more about the varied history of our community. This free and open to the public Ohio Open Doors event will be available that Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Many visitors to the History Center remark on how amazed they are by how many artifacts we have on display. We hope you come and bring your family to see for yourselves.
The building that’s now the home of the Miamisburg History Center is interesting, too. It was built in 1981 as the Miamisburg Branch of the Dayton Metro Library system. The library moved into a new facility on Linden Avenue in 2017 and in 2019 the former library became the Miamisburg History Center. Besides enjoying a scavenger hunt, come see how the historical society converted a library into a history museum.
