The Wilderness Trail Museum in Fort Loramie, Ohio will be open to the public Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1-4pm. The museum features several rooms dedicated to local history such as artifacts from the Trading Post 1769-1782 of French fur trader Pierre-Louis de Lorimier “Peter Loramie” and from General “Mad” Anthony Wayne’s supply post “Fort Loramie” 1795-1798 along with displays dedicated to local businesses, churches, schools and genealogy.

We will also be demonstrating rug making on our recently restored “Flying Shuttle Loom” and have on display historical agriculture tools in our detached agriculture building. Additionally, we hope to have on display artifacts currently in storage and not normally available to the public.
