A Walking Tour of the Newark Earthworks – April 15, 2023
Join a guided walking tour through portions of Newark and learn about the unseen portions of the Newark Earthworks on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Take a tour of the Great Circle Earthwork with our Senior Archaeologist, Brad Lepper on the first Friday every month, April–November. Hear about the genius behind the construction and purpose of the Great Circle and its inclusion as part of the World Heritage Nomination. The Great Circle is part of the Newark Earthworks.
This tour is free and open to the public, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes. Plan to meet at 12:30 p.m. at the map in front of the Great Circle Museum. Questions are encouraged as are hats, sunscreen and umbrellas (in case of rain).
