Scores of patriots who served in the Revolutionary War migrated to Clermont County after the conflict, seeking new and better lives and opportunities. This became their home and their final resting place. According to the just completed Ohio’s Revolutionary War Veteran Graves Project, there are 61 burials of Revolutionary War veterans documented across the county. The Clermont County Genealogical Society honors them and all whose final resting places are yet to be revealed by dedicating an America 250 granite monument in Veterans Memorial Park to Clermont County’s Patriots of the American Revolution.
Our dedication ceremony will include some of our earliest veterans’ stories. After the dedication, visit some of the other veterans’ memorials at the park and join us for light refreshments.
