Grafton’s historic buildings and streetscapes can help you during Falls Prevention Month. Participate in our month-long walking tour of the Historical Buildings in Grafton for Ohio Department of Aging’s 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls. Stop in the library to pick up a brochure, start your walk at the library. Once you have visited each location along the route, you will have walked 1 mile to support 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls. Sites along the way include the Grafton Savings & Trust Bank built in 1917 (now the Grafton-Midview Public Library); The Knechtges & Gorman Building, built in 1905 (one of Grafton’s original grocery stores); and the Grafton United Methodist Church (originally the Methodist Episcopal Church), built in 1875. Please be sure to return to the library for your certificate and a small prize. The walk is open to all ages. Pick up your brochure starting Tuesday, September 1st, at 9:30 am and complete the walk during Ohio Open Doors, September 10th – 20th.
