Guests must enter the main entrance of the building to the side of the courthouse and go through security check. This is a walking tour through the courthouse. An elevator is available for those who wish to skip the stairs. Guests must stay with the group.

Go behind the scenes at the historic Carroll County Courthouse, constructed between 1884 and 1885, and discover the architectural features, history, and ongoing role of this landmark public building. Visitors will explore courtrooms, offices, and other areas not typically included in a standard visit while learning how the courthouse has served the community for more than a century. Guides will share stories about the building’s construction, historic function, and the updates and changes that have helped preserve and adapt it over the years. This walking tour provides a unique opportunity to experience multiple levels of the courthouse and gain a deeper appreciation for one of Carroll County’s most significant historic structures. Elevator access is available for visitors who need it.
