North Fairfield’s Historical Museum was dedicated in October 1944 and has operated since then. The 75th anniversary was celebrated with a soup luncheon in the town firehouse across the street with museum tours available. The membership decided to make it an annual event. 2021: Covid. Since then, each year except 2025. This year, the museum continues to delight visitors. Soup luncheon is open to all, and many varieties are offered.
Although very small, the Museum showcases items dating back to the first settlers in 1816, and is located in house built in 1842.
In the past two years, North Fairfield Improvement Group has converted a routine town park into a totally ADA accessible masterpiece, which will be available to Souper Sunday visitors.
