Visit the former K.C. Lanes bowling alley, now Swanton Sports Center, and explore a building that has served as a center for recreation and community life in Swanton for generations. Originally constructed in 1948 as a Knights of Columbus banquet hall and skating rink, the building expanded in the 1950s with the addition of bowling lanes and became widely known as K.C. Lanes.

Hosted by the Swanton Historical Society, this program highlights the history of bowling, banquets, school events, and community celebrations that made the building a longtime social hub. Visitors can also explore a companion virtual exhibit at Benfield Wines in the historic Pilliod Opera House, featuring additional stories and photographs connected to Swanton’s recreational history.
