Senior Center of Sidney – Shelby County Guided Tour invites visitors to explore a historic community building with over a century of service. Constructed in 1913 as an Armory, the building has played an important role in Sidney’s history.
Over the past 113 years, it has served many purposes, including as an Armory, museum, local historical society, YMCA, and Gateway Arts Council. Since 1997, it has been home to the Senior Center.
Visitors are invited to take a guided tour of the facility and learn how the building has adapted over time to meet the needs of the community. All ages are welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
