Tour the gorgeous renovated Hawver schoolhouse in Shelby County! The school was built in 1875 and functioned as such for 50 years. In 2007, it found new life in the hands of Mary Ruth Green, who started the renovation and made it her home. During your visit, learn and see how every detail was meticulously thought out and executed, from 15,000 bricks being cleaned by hand and used in the reconstruction process, to all the furniture having to be measured to make sure everything fit perfectly in the space. You will not want to miss the opportunity to experience this unique and historically rich home!
