Additional Considerations
Keeper's Museum is fully accessible, but 1825 tower steps are narrow, open staircase design and require closed toe shoes (safety issue) for the climb to the outside viewing deck
All - Free

Maritime and transportation history come to life as visitors stroll the grounds, tour the keeper’s house, and climb the tower’s 69 steps to take in breathtaking views of Lake Erie. Highlights include the original Third Order Lens, the 1843 USS Michigan mast, the Frontenac pilothouse, and exhibits on shipbuilding and lighthouse keepers. Stories of the Underground Railroad and Fairport’s salt mining heritage round out a rich collection of artifacts and narratives—just a preview of the experiences waiting to be discovered.
