ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH AT THE WORKS IN NEWARK


OHIO ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH The Works in Newark is having Archaeology-themed events every Saturday of Archaeology Month! Archaeology Adventures is a series of four drop-in workshops focusing on the science, history, and pursuit of archaeology in Ohio and around the world. The Newark Advocate quotes Allison Galbari, museum experience coordinator at The Works: The goal is to make people aware of what archaeology is. We want them to come in and have fun and learn something new. Here’s the schedule of Archaeology Adventures!works 1 October 4: What is Archaeology? October 11: Ohio Archaeology October 18: International Archaeology Day October 25: U.S. Archaeology All events will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Works, 55 S. First St., Newark. The cost is $2 per person with the general museum fee.
