The Works in Newark is having Archaeology-themed events every Saturday of Archaeology Month! Archaeology Adventures is a series of four drop-in workshops focusing on the science, history, and pursuit of archaeology in Ohio and around the world. The Newark Advocate quotes Allison Galbari, museum experience coordinator at The Works: The goal is to make people aware of what archaeology is. We want them to come in and have fun and learn something new. Here’s the schedule of Archaeology Adventures! October 4: What is Archaeology? October 11: Ohio Archaeology October 18: International Archaeology Day October 25: U.S. Archaeology All events will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Works, 55 S. First St., Newark. The cost is $2 per person with the general museum fee.
