Pickawillany 2010: Days 5-6

These past few days have been filled with a lot of digging, screening, new discoveries and, yes, heat, sweat and rain.

The excavation was visited by the local cable access show “Around the Farm” which highlights activities and information about the John Johnston Farm and Indian Agency (photo 1). Both excavation areas have been expanded to better expose features (photos 2-3). Artifacts such as brass arrow points, gun flints, and a large blue glass bead (photo 4) have been found. In addition, a family of cats (two adults and 6 kittens) have provided entertainment during lunch and water breaks (photo 5). By the way things are going feature investigations will begin very soon!
