The museum itself was the Kalida’s Methodist church from the year it was built in 1897 until the early 1970s, so we mean it when we say you’ll be stepping into history! Inside see how the sanctuary was transformed in the county’s museum through the 1970s up to the present day. Explore exhibits highlighting some of the county’s oldest churches and parishes through historic photographs, artifacts, and stories that celebrate their lasting impact on our communities. Visitors will also enjoy a special display of heritage quilts, showcasing the artistry, craftsmanship, and traditions that have been passed down through generations. Museum volunteers will be available to answer questions and share additional stories throughout the event.
