First United Methodist Church invites you to a tour of their 1894 Akron Plan/High Victorian Gothic Style church edifice located at 52 North Main Street, London, Ohio. The congregation was founded in 1813 and is celebrating 213 years in London. It was the first congregation in London, Ohio. The present building was constructed from 1892-1894. The church was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The tour will feature a short pipe organ recital by the Director of Music and Organist. The pipework is all original to the 1894 Johnson & Son Pipe Organ from Westfield, MA and has been curated by Muller Pipe Organ Company for the last 40 years. The members of the church will provide refreshments to all guests.

– First Church is handicapped accessible via elevator with outside entrance.
– Narrow stairs to view 1924, 16 note Deagan Tower Chime system – rescued 2021, restored and installed 2025.
