The Eclipse at Fort Ancient

10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Fort Ancient will be open from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. (Museum admission ends at 4 pm and the gift shop closes at 4:30 pm.)  Parking and grounds admission will be free.  Museum admission will be $7 for adults, $6 for children (6-17) & seniors (60+). Children under 5 and Ohio History Connection members are free.

Site Manager Bill Kennedy will be talking about solar and lunar alignments at Fort Ancient in front of the museum from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.  Staff will have children’s activities in the picnic shelter in the South Fort all day, including throwing atlatls, double ball and other games.

Fort Ancient will have eclipse glasses for sale as long as supplies last.

(Note: This event is south of the eclipse’s 110-mile-wide path of totality in Ohio. You will be able to view the eclipse from this site, though it will not be total.)
