Experience Fairfield County’s agricultural heritage at Smeck Park during this family-friendly Ohio Open Doors event. Explore two historic landmarks, the Cruit House and the Fetter-Hood Barn and learn how farming, family life, and rural communities shaped the region’s history.
Tour the historic buildings, view antique tractors displayed by the Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club, and discover traditional harvesting methods that sustained local families for generations. Visitors can even help gather crops the old-fashioned way and may have the opportunity to take home a portion of the harvest.
Community organizations will be on hand to share local history and heritage, while children can enjoy hands-on activities such as making corn husk dolls and painting pumpkins.
Join us for a day of history, agriculture, and family fun as we celebrate the people, places, and traditions that have defined Fairfield County for generations.
