Historic buildings are a part of Ohio Open Doors and those that are newer and iconic are as well. Originally the site of the Franklin County Veterans Memorial, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) was built in 2018 as a place to honor all veterans, from all branches of service, and from all eras of the nation’s proud history of military service, both peacetime and wartime. Join the NVMM for a tour and service activities. During your visit, a member of the Education team will lead you on a guided tour of the building’s monumental permanent and rotating exhibition spaces. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in several service-based activities and learn how to preserve the legacy of a veteran through our NVMM Story Collection. All ages are welcome.

Additional Considerations: Non-commercial photography without flash is permitted. The building is accessible via the front ramp or the accessible entrance across from the parking lot. Wheelchairs are available upon request at the entrance or Welcome Desk. Elevator access is available to all three floors. If entering through the accessible entrance, use the elevator or stairs to reach the main floor, where the tour begins.
