Blendon Lodge No. 339 has served Westerville since 1862 and has met in its landmark South State Street Masonic Temple since 1932. Built during the Great Depression through extraordinary sacrifice by local members, the three-story colonial-style building reflects both the growth of Westerville and the enduring civic role of Freemasonry. For generations, Blendon Lodge has supported charitable, educational, youth, and community causes. Its regionally known fish fry benefits Westerville Special Olympics and is made especially meaningful by the athletes who help Lodge members put on the event. Participation in Ohio Open Doors would allow visitors to explore the building’s architecture, learn about its construction and preservation, and discover the often-unseen ways Blendon Lodge has contributed to Westerville for more than 160 years.
