Bird Taxidermy Migrates to New Home
Our bird taxidermy specimens are on the move! We’ve moved and unpacked 442 birds; that’s a lot of feathers! Now, our most fragile specimens are stored in a stable environment.
Our volunteer, Sara Nuber Thomas, was so impressed by the “Prehistoric Map of Ohio,” which I posted previously on this blog, that she asked her graphic artist husband Bob Thomas to take the original black-and-white illustration produced by H. R. Goodwin and colorize it. She and Bob have graciously agreed to share the spectacular result with us and I think you’ll agree that the new map is a wonderful improvement on the original.
The map is now an even more vivid reminder of Ohio’s rich American Indian heritage! Thank you Bob and Sara! Brad Lepper
