Our archives catalog allows you to explore collections of handwritten historical documents, State Archives records, business history, photographs, posters, films, ephemera and more.

What will I find?

Collection guides, or "finding aids," that describe original materials created by Ohio individuals, families, organizations, and state agencies. The descriptions often include inventories, subject terms and biographical information.

In most cases, these collection guides do not contain digital documents. You'll want to request a collection in person in our Archives & Library in Columbus. We offer walk-in hours but recommend making an appointment, as archival items need to be paged and sometimes require special equipment to use.
