HOW NEWARK’S OCTAGON EARTHWORKS WERE SAVED

In a column in Thursday’s Newark Advocate, Dr. Richard Shiels, Director of the Newark Earthworks Center at the Ohio State University’s Newark Campus, reviews the history of how our Octagon Earthworks were preserved by local community action. It’s well worth your attention, but note that the title of the column incorrectly refers to the Great Circle, which also is mentioned, but the focus of the column is on the Octagon.
