The Ginny District, one of Urbana’s oldest neighborhoods, dates back to 1805 and has been a crossroads of significant events, places, and people who have shaped both Ohio and the Nation’s history. From the infamous Rev. Jim Jones to former Ohio Governor Joseph Vance, the personalities who lived in or visited this neighborhood are legendary. As the neighborhood experiences a revival, it’s fascinating stories are gaining more recognition.

Join us for a special event where the Ginny District community will share an overview of the neighborhood’s storied past and open the doors to some of its historic spaces, including the Hovey-Murphy House, St. Paul AME Church, and more.
