Guided tours of several restored historical sites throughout the quaint, peaceful Village of Pemberville, Ohio. The crown jewel being the 1892 Pemberville Opera House restored to period in 1999, it is one of the oldest operating Opera Houses in the state boasting an annual concert series and children’s theatre.

Down the old brick street from the opera house, you’ll find The Depot, a restored T & OC (Toledo and Ohio Central, later becoming the New York Central line) railroad depot filled to the brim with RR memorabilia and Pemberville artifacts.

While in the village visit two Ohio Historical Markers at the Elihu Mason Park. Elihu Mason, was one of Andrew’s Raiders, who famously stole The General from the Confederate Army during the Civil War.

Additional sites opening their doors in conjunction with the Ohio History Connections’ Ohio Open Doors are:

  1. The Pember Furry House
  2. The Old School House
  3. Blacksmith Shop & Smokehouse

Pemberville also boasts an old general store, one of the oldest in the state, continuously operating for over a century. Visit www.pembervillehistory.org for more information.
