Wed.., Aug. 17, 2022 • 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, Fremont

This program is a three-part series for kids ages 6 through 11. Kids will use historic photos from the Charles E. Frohman Collection at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums to gain firsthand knowledge in history through STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) initiatives. Kids can register for one or all three programs. During this month’s session, students will learn about the innovative cardboard box manufacturer, Hinde & Dauch Paper Company. The business successfully operated from 1880 to 1981 in Sandusky. Students will gain an understanding of basic engineering principles and use that knowledge to construct functional bridges, containers and towers. There are 10 spots for the in-person program and 10 take-home kits available. Both are free, but registration is required for both. To register, contact Curator of Manuscripts Julie Mayle at 419-332-2081, ext. 239, or [email protected]The title sponsor is ABC INOAC. This session is sponsored by Sierra Lobo.
