The public is invited to join the Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society in celebrating its 20th anniversary of preserving the history of Southern Darke County. Special guest Mike Wells will share his ancestor’s journey from Maryland to the Kentucky frontier in the 1790s. He will discuss the challenges of frontier life and the unique connection his family had to the historic signing of the Treaty of Greenville in 1795. A highlight of his presentation will be the story of his ancestor, who was captured by Native Americans and later reunited with his family as a result of the treaty’s exchange.
