Whether you’re a Shaker native, new resident, or a tourist, spend this summer with the Shaker Historical Society to learn about Shaker Heights history!

“Exclusion & Inclusion: Shaker Heights’ Racial Past,” our August tour, is an introduction to how race has played a role in Shaker Heights history. The tour will cover history ranging from the time of the North Union Shakers in the 1800s to racial integration of the 1960s. This tour, led by experienced bicyclists and an SHS Tour Guide, will take place Saturday, August 5th, 2023 from 10am-12pm and will visit historically significant sites around the city. A helmet and waiver are required for each rider. Each tour is capped at 15 participants with a minimum of 3 participants. A rain date will be set if necessary.
