The afternoon concert at the Kettering Adventist Church – presented both live and livestream – features three premieres of new choral works set to Dunbar poems by Dr. Adolphus Hailstork and two winners of the Bach Society’s Young Composers Competition. These new compositions were sponsored by the Montgomery County Special Projects Grant. In addition to the three pieces, there will be choral works set to Dunbar texts and works of his time. Performers are Dr. Minnita Daniel-Cox (soprano soloist), Dr. Herbert Woodward Martin (recitations), and the Bach Society of Dayton Chorus, led by Director John Neely and accompanist R. Alan Kimbrough.
