For the 2024 Art of Soul! Juried Art Show, the NAAMCC will be using an online submission process using a portal called Art Call. This new process will allow you to follow step-by-step instructions for submitting your entry, paying the entry fees, preparing your artwork for exhibition hanging, packing, and shipping, and other useful information.
Need help with using our new online submission process? The NAAMCC will host an Artist Submission Instructional Webinar on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 6:30 pm. Interested artists can register using this link: https://bit.ly/46Gjxv2.
You will receive the Zoom webinar link after you register (check your junk or spam email folders if you don’t see the Zoom email). We will also record the webinar, and the link will be posted to the NAAMCC Facebook page and NAAMCC 2024 Art of Soul! webpage for future reference right after the webinar.
Artists from across the United States and the world are invited to submit their work in response to the themes of Social Justice and Black Joy. All submissions should emphasize either or both themes, as well as perspectives related to the African diaspora and/or African American culture, history, or experience. A panel of national and regional art professionals will serve as jurors to evaluate all submissions.
Click this link to open the Call for Artists document that includes all the instructions: online submission. You can also pay your entry fee(s) through this portal. The final deadline for all entries is Friday, July 12, 2024, at 4 pm. Only completed submissions with paid entry fee(s) will be accepted.
Participants and winners will be recognized at the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony at the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
For more information, email [email protected]. You will receive a response within 24 hours during the workweek. See you on December 5th!
