I am proud to be a part of the Creative Learning Factory‘s Distance Learning team! The Creative Learning Factory is home to one of the nation’s premiere providers of Distance Learning content. Its award-winning program offers interactive, informative and engaging experiences that bring history to life. I offer two Distance Learing programs through the Creative Learning Factory: Ohio’s Mound Building Cultures and Ask the Archaeologist. The most requested program is Ohio’s Mound Building Cultures. My goal for this program is to provide an overview of the various ancient cultures in Ohio that built mounds and earthworks. One of the most important things I try to get across is the variety of different kinds of mounds built by these distinctive American Indian cultures — not all Indian mounds are burial mounds! I think Ask the Archaeologist is my favorite Distance Learning program. It’s much more free-wheeling and the content is almost entirely determined by the questions asked by the students and teachers, so I never give the same program twice!
