Here’s an interesting twist on the usual Freak of the Week! As I’ve mentioned before, we’re in the middle of working on the new exhibit “Going, Going, Gone? Endangered and Extinct Species”. So we’ve been scouring the collections for relevant and interesting items to put in the exhibit. We’re looking not only in the natural history collections, but in archaeology and history too. This box came to light and seemed ideal, but it wasn’t quite what it appeared at first! Any ideas what it is? Where it’s from? What it’s made of? Stayed tuned next week for the results!
