Scope and Content

The Warren Consolidated Industries History Collection consists of information concerning the company throughout its years of operation. The collection is organized within one folder. The collection includes an unpublished history of the Republic Steel Corporation, a photcopied newspaper article dealing with a 1937 Republic Steel strike, a photocopied pamphlet of Warren Works Blast Furnace, and a color pamphlet of Warren Consolidated Industries, Inc.

Provenance

The Ohio Historical Society acquired the Warren Consolidated Industries History Collection in 1989. Angela M. Pollock processed the collection in 1996. The Ohio Historical Society owns the property rights of the collections. What rights the donor possessed in this collection have been dedicated to the public. Consideration of all other copyrights is the responsibility of the author and publisher. This collection is open under the rules and regulations of the Ohio Historical Society. Researchers are requested to cite the collection name, collection number, the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, and the Ohio Historical Society in all footnotes and bibliographic references.

-An unpublished manuscript of information of the Mahoning Valley District/Republic Steel corporation of Warren, Niles, and Youngstown. It contains sketches, production rates, and facility descriptions of the three plants.
-A xeroxed pamphlet of the Warren Works Blast Furnace dealing expressly with the Paul Wurth Top.
-A color brochure/pamphlet copyrighted 1989 advertising Warren Consolidated Industries.
