Ohio Memory Project

The Youngstown Historical Center Archives/Library is proud to announce its participation in the Ohio Memory Project. The Ohio Memory Project commemorates Ohio's bicentennial by providing online access to the Buckeye State's historical treasures including photographs, letters, government records, and other historic artifacts. Items from the collections of the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor Archives/Library can be viewed here.

The Archives/Library research facility houses local government records as well as materials relating to the iron and steel industries in northeastern Ohio and the development of organized labor. At this time, the county records, selected Ohio death records, selected manuscript materials, and videotaped oral histories are available for research. Other materials will be made available on an ongoing basis.

Use of the archives is free and open to the public. Research requests may also be submitted to the archives by mail or email. The archives' mailing address is: Youngstown Historical Center
