OHIO
HISTORICAL CENTER Due to the current level of scheduled programming, only the following four Distance Learning Programs will be offered for the remainder of the 2002-2003 school year. Scheduling for the 2003-2004 school year will not begin until July 14th, 2003. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Up to 50-minute program: Grades 3rd - 6th Zooki will introduce the students to the Glacial Grooves, Cedar Bog, and Fort Hill. Starting with the Ice Age, the class will learn the cause and effect relationship of these Ohio natural landforms with the glaciers and the sequence of their creation. Herb, Dr. Zooki's computer assistant, will help by virtue of some amazing blue screen projections. Critical thinking and map skills will be significant components in this fulfilled adventure. Dr. Zooki will also encourage the children to write to him.
"PICTURE THIS: BICENTENNIAL PHOTO PROJECT" Up to 45-minute program: Grades 4th - 12th Part one: The students learn how to interpret photographs by studying historic images from the Ohio Historical Society's collection. Part two: OHS staff members will examine photographs that the students have taken to represent their part of Ohio for the bicentennial.
