"AGRICULTURE AND CERAMICS"
45 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 4th - 12th
Students will learn about the transition from a hunting and gathering lifestyle to that of farming and agricultural from about 1500 BC to AD 900. The Late Archaic and Woodland cultures will be covered as will their increasing usage of ceramics and agriculture. Participants will learn about the subsistence strategies changed and how it affected their entire way of life.

"ARCHAEOLOGY"
45 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 4th - 6th
Students are instructed in the basic terms, methods, and tools of archaeology. The class will also compare and contrast the style of archaeology of the 19th Century and the 20th (now 21st) Century.

"MOUNDBUILDERS"
45 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 4th - 12th
Program teaches students about the Adena and Hopewell cultures, focusing on subsistence, trade, and mound construction.

"NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE; PAST AND PRESENT"
45 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 4th - 12th
Students learn about the culture of American Indian past and present while talking to American Indian descendant, Connie Heald.

"OHIO VALLEY PREHISTORY"
45 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 4th - 12th
Learn the different prehistoric cultures who once inhabited the Ohio Valley. This program spans nearly 15,000 years of Native American history, highlighting the major technological changes of each of the prehistoric cultural periods to the historic contact around AD 1650.

"SHOW ME AND TELL ME"
20 minutes to 1 hour program: Grades 1st - 3rd
Students will learn about the time just before European contact with the Native Americans and the transition from the prehistoric period to the historic period in the Ohio Valley around AD 1650. They will learn how metal was introduced, and furs were traded. Students will then look at historic trade items including clothing, metal, cast iron pots, glass beads, and more.
